NETS-T

My game plan is focus on professional development and the never quit learning attitude. I believe this standard symbolizes what I need to do to improve. Most teachers believe they already know it all. Technology is ever changing and one cannot rest on old methods. The ability to stay updated on the new technology will ensure I have hit this standard.
1.A demonstrate continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies.

My second area would have to be " 6. D. promote safe and healthy use of technology resources." There is a dark side to technology and it must be respected. As a new parent, I always wonder what the technology will look like when my son is in school. It is scary, knowing what I know now about the way some people abuse our great technology. I would say be able to teach my students the correct way to use resources (technology) safely, the better this world would be. This is a huge task as students use computers at home more then they do at the school. Hopefully, I can get this objective across.

  1. I agree that we must teach the students how to interact with technology safely. They have greater access to technology at home than at school, so they need to know how to use technology safely. How do you plan to teach those skills to students?

  2. How effective were your actions in helping you meet your goals? The PLC team met today before school to discuss issues. I believe the team has heard my thoughts about improving the technology at our school.
What have you learned so far that you can apply in your instructional practice? I have learned that all contents can benefit from working with each other.
What do you still have to learn? What new questions have arisen?
The question that has arisen is the politics that have been set in place in my district. Change is not easy.
How will you adjust your plan to fit your current needs?
I am still trying to discover the adjustments that I need to fit my current goals.
